Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RouteWag collects and how it is used. RouteWag is operated by Syed Muhammad Raza Shah ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Groomer accounts: business name, email address, a securely hashed password, time zone and booking settings.
• Client records you add: names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, pet names, breeds and notes.
• Online bookings: the details a pet owner enters on a groomer's booking page.
• Website chat: messages you type into the automated chat assistant on our website, and any contact details you choose to share there (such as your name, email, business name and phone) so we can follow up.
• Billing: handled by Paddle. We receive your subscription status and customer ID. We never see or store card numbers.

How we use it

Only to run the Service: showing your schedule, placing addresses on the map, planning routes, sending booking confirmation and appointment reminder emails, answering questions and following up on messages you send through the website chat, and managing your subscription. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Services we share data with

• Paddle (payments, as Merchant of Record)
• Resend (sends booking confirmation, reminder and account emails)
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (turns addresses into map locations; the address text is sent)
• OpenRouteService (calculates drive times; map coordinates are sent)

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you logged in. The chat assistant keeps a random chat ID in your browser's session storage so it can remember your conversation while you browse. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Maps load images from OpenStreetMap servers.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account exists. Website chat conversations are deleted after about 60 days unless you left your contact details, in which case we keep them so we can follow up with you. Ask us to delete your account and we will delete your data, except where we must keep records by law.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Pet owners who booked through a groomer should contact that groomer first; we will help where we can.
